My name is Aamina Haykal-Iyare and I am a graduate from Columbia College Chicago. I majored in Fashion Design and minored in Fashion Business. I am a Chicago based freelance Fashion Designer and Personal Stylist. I also work as an Executive Assistant.

 

Sewing, drawing, and designing are my passions. I have had a passion for fashion ever since I was seven years old. I started drawing and painting very early on in life, but my main focus was on fashion sketches and sewing. I am fascinated with taking my designs from paper, and bringing them to life. I always keep up with the latest fashion trends and incorporate them into my work and wardrobe. My goal in life is to have my own clothing label. I love to collaborate with other creative minds on projects and network. I enjoy trying and learning new things, and am always up for a new challenge.

My design aesthetic is classic and simple, yet detail oriented. I like to play with movement and drape for understated drama. I want every girl to feel comfortable in my clothing, yet still stand out. I am a fond believer in creating versatile designs that can be worn in multiple ways. That is the future of fashion.
